A two-family home with a dated unit on the second floor was an opportunity for the owner to expand and modernize. The client request was to completely remodel the 2nd unit, opening up the front rooms to the enclosed porch and putting a large master suite in the unfinished attic. We were able to expand the open living space they wanted in the front with no columns, and we designed a new, steeper pitched roof to accommodate the third floor master suite.
